CVE-2026-122320

HighCVSS 7.7
Published: Translated: NVD NIST

Summary

Kyverno before 1.19.2 contains a missing authorization vulnerability that allows namespaced Policy authors to read resources in other namespaces by templating generate.clone or cloneList namespace values. Attackers can annotate a triggering ConfigMap so the background-controller copies a victim namespace's sensitive ConfigMap into the attacker's namespace, enabling cross-tenant data disclosure.

Risk Assessment

This can lead to cross-tenant data disclosure, including sensitive information from other namespaces. Organizations with multi-tenant clusters are particularly exposed.

Recommendation

Update Kyverno to version 1.19.2 or later. Restrict permissions to create namespaced policies and regularly review generate policies.
