CVE-2026-9216
LowCVSS 3.5Exploitation Probability (EPSS)
Low risk28th percentile - higher than 28% of all known CVEs
Summary
An insufficient input validation vulnerability in NETGEAR RAX series routers allows a network-adjacent attacker with network access (e.g., WiFi credentials) to crash the router's management UI. There is no confidentiality or integrity impact. The crash does not affect core services like WiFi.
Risk Assessment
The risk is that an attacker from the local network can temporarily disable the router's admin interface, complicating management and potentially requiring a restart.
Recommendation
Update the router firmware to the latest version if a patch is available, and limit trust for devices on the local network.
