CVE-2026-85345
MediumCVSS 4.1Exploitation Probability (EPSS)
Low risk5th percentile - higher than 5% of all known CVEs
Summary
The FV Flowplayer Video Player WordPress plugin before version 7.5.55.7212 does not properly validate a user-supplied URL before performing a server-side fetch, and an existing host-based restriction fails to cover all cases, allowing users with Contributor-level access and above to perform Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) attacks. The impact is limited to a semi-blind oracle: the server's fetch reveals whether an internal resource responds and its HTTP status, but the resource's contents are not returned to the attacker.
Risk Assessment
An attacker can probe internal network resources, obtaining information about their availability and HTTP status, which may aid further attacks on internal infrastructure.
Recommendation
Update the FV Flowplayer Video Player plugin to version 7.5.55.7212 or later, which includes the URL validation and host restriction fix.
Other vulnerabilities in FV Flowplayer Video Player WordPress plugin
See all- CVE-2026-110533Medium
The FV Flowplayer Video Player plugin for WordPress (all versions up to and including 7.5.55.7212) is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'fv_player_videos[_fv_player_user_video][]' parameter due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows authenticated attackers with subscriber-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts that execute when a user visits the injected page. This requires an administrator to have enabled the 'Allow visitors to upload videos to their profile' setting.
- CVE-2026-110001Medium
