Summary

Xovis AG APS-R-POE, APS-R-POE-PP, APS-R, APS-R-POE-USB, and APS-B 2.10.1.1 and earlier contain an OS command injection vulnerability in /sbin/ImportParamSet.sh. The script processes symlinks from uploaded parameter archives and embeds the symlink target path into a shell command without quoting or sanitization. The command is executed as root via APC_SendMsg IPC.

Risk Assessment

The vulnerability allows remote execution of arbitrary commands as root, potentially leading to full device compromise. Devices are often network-accessible, increasing exploitation risk.

Recommendation

Update Xovis device software to a version later than 2.10.1.1. Until updated, restrict access to the management and parameter import interface.
