Summary

AIOHTTP, an asynchronous HTTP client/server framework for asyncio and Python, prior to 3.13.4 drops the Authorization header when following redirects to a different origin but retains Cookie and Proxy-Authorization headers. This may leak credentials to another origin. The issue is patched in 3.13.4.

Risk Assessment

Cookie and Proxy-Authorization headers may be sent to an untrusted server after a redirect, risking session hijacking or proxy credential disclosure.

Recommendation

Upgrade aiohttp to version 3.13.4 or later. Verify that the application does not rely on these headers being retained across cross-origin redirects.
