Summary

In aiohttp before 3.14.4, the pure Python parser accepts ambiguous HTTP request framing. An unauthenticated attacker can smuggle requests when an application runs without a standard wheel (e.g., with AIOHTTP_NO_EXTENSIONS) and an intermediary interprets the framing differently.

Risk Assessment

This can lead to HTTP request smuggling, bypassing security controls and unauthorized access to resources protected by an intermediary.

Recommendation

Update aiohttp to version 3.14.4 or later and avoid running without the standard wheel where possible.

Original NVD description (English source)

AIOHTTP is an asynchronous HTTP client/server framework for asyncio and Python. Prior to 3.14.4, the pure Python parser accepts ambiguous HTTP request framing. An unauthenticated attacker can consequently smuggle requests when an application uses AIOHTTP_NO_EXTENSIONS or otherwise runs without a standard wheel and an intermediary interprets the framing differently. This issue is fixed in version 3.14.4.
