CVE-2026-2455

MediumCVSS 4.3
Published: Updated: Translated: NVD NIST

Summary

Mattermost versions 11.3.x <= 11.3.0, 11.2.x <= 11.2.2, 10.11.x <= 10.11.10 fail to canonicalize IPv4-mapped IPv6 addresses before reserved IP validation, allowing an attacker to perform SSRF attacks against internal services via IPv4-mapped IPv6 literals such as [::ffff:127.0.0.1].

Risk Assessment

An attacker can exploit the SSRF vulnerability to access internal services, potentially leading to disclosure of sensitive information or further attacks within the internal network. This may compromise the security of internal infrastructure.

Recommendation

Update Mattermost to a version later than those listed (e.g., 11.3.1, 11.2.3, 10.11.11 or later). Additionally, consider restricting access to internal services from the Mattermost server.
