CVE-2026-118128
MediumCVSS 6.5Exploitation Probability (EPSS)
Low risk30th percentile - higher than 30% of all known CVEs
Summary
In a2aproject a2a-js up to 1.1.0, the ResultManager.applyStatusUpdate function in src/server/result_manager.ts is vulnerable to a race condition. The attack can be launched remotely, and the fix is included in version 1.2.0 (commit 7b87c9480bfa643f9d2b2eaf06988b3d3a95de25).
Risk Assessment
A race condition may lead to inconsistent task state and unpredictable application behavior. A remote attacker could exploit it to disrupt processing or bypass logic.
Recommendation
Update a2a-js to version 1.2.0 or later. Until patched, restrict access to the task status update API.
