2th percentile - higher than 2% of all known CVEs

Summary

The PayDunya WooCommerce Payment Gateway WordPress plugin through 1.1.6 does not verify the authenticity of incoming payment notifications and, until the gateway is configured, authenticates them with a value derived from an empty secret that anyone can compute. This allows unauthenticated attackers to mark arbitrary WooCommerce orders as paid and completed.

Risk Assessment

An attacker can forge payment notifications and mark arbitrary orders as paid, leading to financial losses and incorrect order states. The risk is especially high before the payment gateway is configured.

Recommendation

Update the plugin to a version later than 1.1.6 when available, and immediately configure the payment gateway with a proper secret. Verify the status of existing orders for unauthorized changes.
