Summary

The Evenium plugin for WordPress (all versions up to and including 1.3.11) is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's 'evenium_single_event' shortcode due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user supplied attributes. An authenticated attacker with contributor-level access and above can inject arbitrary web scripts into pages.

Risk Assessment

An attacker could inject a malicious script that executes in the browsers of users visiting the infected page, potentially leading to session or data theft.

Recommendation

Update the Evenium plugin to the latest version (above 1.3.11). If update is not possible, consider disabling the plugin.

The Evenium plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's 'evenium_single_event' shortcode in all versions up to, and including, 1.3.11 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user supplied attributes. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
