Summary

SINAMICS G220, S200, and S210 V6.4 (below specified HF versions) have improper privilege management and leaked privileges from previous sessions. This allows an unauthorized attacker to perform a factory reset without required privileges and escalate privileges.

Risk Assessment

Unauthorized factory reset may disrupt industrial operations, and privilege escalation could lead to further unwanted actions. Impacts availability and integrity.

Recommendation

Update SINAMICS G220 to V6.4 HF2, S200 to V6.4 HF7, S210 to V6.4 HF2 or later. Restrict device access and enforce proper privilege controls.
