Summary

In the Linux kernel, nfs/localio fails to restore credentials before releasing pageio data. If the nfsd filecache code releases the nfsd_file immediately, it can trigger BUG_ON(cred == current->cred) in __put_cred().

Risk Assessment

This can lead to a kernel crash (BUG_ON) on systems using NFS localio.

Recommendation

Update the Linux kernel to a version with the fix that restores credentials before releasing pageio data.
