Summary

In the Linux kernel, the BPF subsystem did not linearize the skb when downgrading gso_size, which could later trigger a BUG_ON() during skb segmentation. The flaw affects the bpf function and has been fixed.

Risk Assessment

May lead to kernel panic and denial of service if triggered by malicious or faulty traffic. Requires the ability to invoke BPF operations.

Recommendation

Update the Linux kernel to a version with the fix that linearizes skb when changing gso_size. Monitor systems for unexpected reboots.
