CVE-2006-3698

High
Published: Translated: NVD NIST

Summary

Multiple unspecified vulnerabilities in Oracle Database 10.1.0.5 have unknown impact and attack vectors, specifically in the Change Data Capture (CDC) component and Data Pump Metadata API. According to a researcher, DB01 relates to multiple SQL injection vulnerabilities in SYS.DBMS_CDC_IMPDP procedures, and DB03 relates to SQL injection in the MAIN procedure for SYS.KUPW$WORKER.

Risk Assessment

SQL injection vulnerabilities could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary SQL queries, potentially leading to unauthorized data access or modification. Organizations using Oracle Database 10.1.0.5 are at risk from authenticated users or those able to influence input.

Recommendation

Apply the available Oracle security patches for version 10.1.0.5 as soon as possible. If feasible, upgrade to a newer Oracle Database version that does not contain these vulnerabilities.
