Summary

In the Linux kernel, the drm/nouveau/gsp driver lacked a SEC2 entry in the GA100 chip table. During tu102_gsp_oneinit(), the booter constructor needs device->sec2 to access the SEC2 falcon; without the entry, device->sec2 is NULL and this dereference crashes during GSP-RM boot.

Risk Assessment

On NVIDIA GPUs with the GA100 chip, a kernel crash may occur during GSP-RM initialization, preventing the graphics driver from working properly.

Recommendation

Update the Linux kernel to a version containing the SEC2 entry in the GA100 chip table of the nouveau/gsp driver.
