Summary

In the Linux kernel's btintel driver, the "Exception info %s" print in btintel_hw_error() uses skb->data + 1, but the 12-byte payload is not guaranteed to be NUL-terminated, allowing a read past its end.

Risk Assessment

This may leak kernel memory contents or cause a kernel panic when handling hardware errors from an Intel Bluetooth controller.

Recommendation

Update the Linux kernel to a version where the print is bounded with "%.*s" and skb->len - 1.
