Summary

In the Linux kernel, the accel/amdxdna driver did not disable exporting of device buffers, which were never intended to be exported. The fix explicitly disables export support for these buffers.

Risk Assessment

The ability to export device buffers may lead to unauthorized access to device memory or a breach of isolation between processes.

Recommendation

Update the Linux kernel to a version containing the accel/amdxdna fix and restrict access to accelerator devices for untrusted users.
