34th percentile - higher than 34% of all known CVEs

Summary

The EventON - Subscriber plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to generic SQL Injection via the 'email' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 1.4.5 due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database.

Risk Assessment

An unauthenticated attacker can read sensitive data from the WordPress database, including user data and credentials. This may lead to further escalation and site takeover.

Recommendation

Update the EventON - Subscriber plugin to a version later than 1.4.5. Until then, consider disabling the plugin or deploying WAF rules to block SQL injection attempts.
