CVE Catalog

CVE-2026-88801

HighCVSS 8.0
Published: Translated: NVD NIST

Summary

The MDJM Event Management and Mobile Events Manager WordPress plugins through 1.7.8.7 do not check a capability or a nonce before creating a WordPress role from a name supplied in the request, and store that name without escaping it. This allows any authenticated user, such as a subscriber, to inject arbitrary web scripts which execute when an administrator opens one of the standard user management screens.

Risk Assessment

An attacker can execute malicious scripts in an administrator's browser, potentially leading to session hijacking or actions performed on behalf of the administrator.

Recommendation

Update MDJM Event Management and Mobile Events Manager plugins to a version later than 1.7.8.7 or disable them until a fix is available.
