CVE-2026-83272
HighCVSS 8.5Exploitation Probability (EPSS)
Low risk31th percentile - higher than 31% of all known CVEs
Summary
Vulnerability in the Oracle Text component of Oracle Database Server affects versions 19.3-19.32, 21.3-21.23, and 23.4.0-23.26.3. A low-privileged attacker with Create Index privilege and network access via Oracle Net can compromise Oracle Text. The vulnerability is difficult to exploit but may impact additional products (scope change).
Risk Assessment
An attacker can take over Oracle Text, compromising confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data and potentially affecting related systems. This may lead to a serious database security breach.
Recommendation
Urgently apply Oracle patches for Oracle Database Server in the listed versions. Additionally, restrict Create Index privilege to necessary users and monitor network access via Oracle Net.
