CVE-2026-80872
UnknownSummary
In the Linux kernel, the ALSA HDA driver for TAS2781 has a vulnerability where the asynchronous firmware request is not cancelled during unbind. This can lead to a situation where the firmware callback operates on state that is being torn down, potentially causing errors or races.
Risk Assessment
The vulnerability may lead to malfunction of the audio driver, system crashes, or potential security issues due to race conditions.
Recommendation
It is recommended to update the Linux kernel to a version containing the fix for this vulnerability.

- CVE-2026-99242Unknown
In the Linux kernel, a race between fallocate and mmap reads in NTFS was fixed. Fallocate only took invalidate_lock for punch hole, collapse range and insert range operations, and during standard allocation new clusters were mapped before being zeroed, allowing concurrent mmap page faults to read uninitialized disk data.
- CVE-2026-99241Unknown
In the Linux kernel, a missing lock in ntfs_filemap_page_mkwrite() was fixed; it called iomap_page_mkwrite() without holding mapping->invalidate_lock. A concurrent truncate or fallocate could be invalidating pagecache and rewriting the runlist while the write fault mapped blocks and dirtied the folio.
- CVE-2026-99240Unknown
In the Linux kernel, the DAMON subsystem (mm/damon/core) has a division-by-zero bug when a DAMOS quota goal has a target_value of zero. The fix moves handling of this corner case to the core layer by adding validation in damos_commit_quota_goal(), which now returns an error for zero target values.
Original NVD description (English source)
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: hda/tas2781: Cancel async firmware request at unbind TAS2781 HDA I2C and SPI queue RCA firmware loading from component bind with request_firmware_nowait(). The firmware loader keeps the callback module pinned and holds a device reference, but the callback still uses driver-private HDA state. Component unbind removes controls and DSP state immediately. Later device removal tears down the TAS2781 private data, including codec_lock. If the async firmware callback runs after unbind has started, it can operate on state that is being torn down. Cancel or synchronize the async firmware request before removing controls and DSP state. A queued callback is cancelled, and an already-running callback is allowed to finish before unbind continues.
