Summary

The WIFI4 N300 router (Model: T1 Pro) v1.0.0 by U-speed contains an insecure access control flaw exposing the UART debugging interface without authentication, authorization, or access control. Once connected to the interface, an attacker gains a root shell.

Risk Assessment

An attacker with physical access to the device can obtain root privileges and fully control the router, potentially intercepting network traffic. T1 Pro v1.0.0 devices are affected.

Recommendation

Restrict physical access to devices, consider a firmware update or replacement with a model without this flaw, and monitor for unusual network behavior.
