Summary
Vulnerability in the Oracle Access Manager product of Oracle Fusion Middleware (component: Authentication Engine). Affected versions are 12.2.1.4.0 and 14.1.2.1.0. An easily exploitable vulnerability allows a high privileged attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle Access Manager.
Risk Assessment
A high privileged attacker can gain unauthorized creation, deletion, or modification access to critical data as well as unauthorized access to critical data or all Oracle Access Manager accessible data, and the attack may significantly impact additional products (scope change). This poses a serious threat to system integrity and confidentiality.
Recommendation
Apply Oracle's patches for versions 12.2.1.4.0 and 14.1.2.1.0 and review and restrict high-privileged accounts with access to the Authentication Engine. Detailed monitoring of administrative actions is recommended.
