CVE-2026-59388
MediumCVSS 6.5Exploitation Probability (EPSS)
Low risk23th percentile - higher than 23% of all known CVEs
Summary
Cloud Controller (CAPI) leaks sensitive data into audit logs in multiple instances: custom buildpack credentials are exposed in audit events for app manifest application, creation, and updates; syslog drain URL credentials are exposed in user-provided service instance audit events; and service binding parameters are leaked in app manifest and service binding audit events.
Risk Assessment
Parties with access to audit logs may obtain sensitive credentials such as buildpack passwords, syslog drain credentials, and service binding parameters, potentially leading to unauthorized access to external systems.
Recommendation
Upgrade Cloud Controller to a version containing the fix. Until deployed, restrict access to audit logs and consider rotating any exposed credentials.
