CVE-2026-54382

HighCVSS 7.7
Published: Translated: NVD NIST

Summary

VitaFit cloud API before 2026-10-30 contained an improper access control vulnerability in its Cognito-issued AWS role that allows authenticated attackers to perform s3:PutObject operations across the entire shared bucket instead of being restricted to their own folder. Attackers can overwrite other users' objects in the shared S3 bucket using credentials obtained via CVE-2026-54378.

Risk Assessment

An attacker can destroy other users' original content without triggering deletion protections, leading to data loss and integrity breach. The risk affects all users of the shared bucket.

Recommendation

Update VitaFit cloud API to a version after 2026-10-30. Restrict Cognito role permissions to own folders and review S3 bucket policies.
