CVE-2026-4820
MediumCVSS 4.3Exploitation Probability (EPSS)
Low risk2th percentile - higher than 2% of all known CVEs
Summary
IBM Maximo Application Suite 9.1, 9.0, 8.11, and 8.10 does not set the secure attribute on authorization tokens or session cookies. An attacker may obtain cookie values by sending a user an http:// link or planting it on a visited site; the cookie is sent over the insecure link and can be captured by snooping traffic.
Risk Assessment
Interception of session cookies or authorization tokens may allow session hijacking and unauthorized access to the application. The risk is especially relevant on networks where traffic can be eavesdropped.
Recommendation
Upgrade IBM Maximo Application Suite to a version containing the fix. Enforce HTTPS where possible and consider additional session cookie protections.
Other vulnerabilities in IBM Maximo Application Suite
See all- CVE-2025-36386Critical
IBM Maximo Application Suite 9.0.0 through 9.0.15 and 9.1.0 through 9.1.4 could allow a remote attacker to bypass authentication mechanisms and gain unauthorized access to the application.
- CVE-2026-18533Medium
IBM Maximo Application Suite - Location Service for Esri Component versions 9.2, 9.1, and 9.0 is vulnerable to improper input validation due to an unsanitised container image configuration in a Kubernetes operator template.
- CVE-2026-105052High
IBM Maximo Application Suite 8.10, 8.11, 9.0, 9.1, and 9.2 could allow a remote attacker to traverse directories on the system. An attacker could send a specially crafted URL request containing "dot dot" sequences (/../) to view arbitrary files on the system.
- CVE-2026-18531Medium
IBM Maximo Application Suite 9.2, 9.1, and 9.0 could allow a remote attacker to tamper with session data due to the use of a weak HMAC session signing secret.
- CVE-2026-15656Medium
IBM Maximo Application Suite 9.2, 9.1, and 9.0 does not set the secure attribute on authorization tokens or session cookies. Attackers may be able to get the cookie values by sending a http:// link to a user or by planting this link in a site the user goes to. The cookie will be sent to the insecure link and the attacker can then obtain the cookie value by snooping the traffic.
