CVE-2026-32983
MediumCVSS 5.8Exploitation Probability (EPSS)
Low risk38th percentile - higher than 38% of all known CVEs
Summary
The Wazuh Manager authd service in wazuh-manager packages through 4.7.3 contains an improper restriction of client-initiated SSL/TLS renegotiation, allowing remote attackers to cause a denial of service by sending excessive renegotiation requests. Attackers can exploit the lack of renegotiation limits to consume CPU resources and make the authd service unavailable.
Risk Assessment
An exposed authd service can be overwhelmed by an attacker, preventing agent authentication and disrupting security monitoring.
Recommendation
Update Wazuh Manager to a patched version and consider limiting TLS renegotiation at the network or proxy level.
Other vulnerabilities in Wazuh Manager
See all- CVE-2026-39359High
A logic flaw in Wazuh Manager versions 4.0.0-4.10.3 and 4.11.0-4.14.4 affects the enrollment daemon (authd) and synchronization daemon (remoted). The authd process allows agents to select a group during enrollment without filtering path traversal sequences like "..", enabling access to files outside the intended directory. Sensitive files such as client.keys, ossec.conf, and internal certificates are exposed to the attacker.
