Summary

The Product Designer for WooCommerce (Lumise) plugin for WordPress in versions up to and including 2.1.2 is vulnerable to Directory Traversal via the process_checkout function. Unauthenticated attackers can read arbitrary files on the server because the required lumise_security nonce is freely obtainable through the /?lumise=ajax action=init handler.

Risk Assessment

An attacker without any credentials can exfiltrate configuration files, credentials and other sensitive data from the server. This may lead to full compromise of the WordPress site.

Recommendation

Update the Lumise plugin to a version newer than 2.1.2 or disable it if no update is available. Review server logs for attempts to read unauthorized paths.

Original NVD description (English source)

The Product Designer for WooCommerce WordPress | Lumise plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Directory Traversal in all versions up to, and including, 2.1.2 via the process_checkout function. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to read the contents of arbitrary files on the server, which can contain sensitive information. The lumise_security nonce required to reach the vulnerable /?lumise=cart endpoint is freely obtainable by any unauthenticated visitor via the /?lumise=ajax action=init handler, making this exploitable with no prior access or credentials.
