Summary

RosarioSIS before 12.9.1 contains a missing authorization vulnerability that allows authenticated teachers to write records for students outside their course period by supplying arbitrary student IDs. Risk Assessment

A teacher or other authenticated user can improperly modify data of students outside their courses, compromising the integrity of school records and potentially causing legal and reputational consequences.

Recommendation

Update RosarioSIS to version 12.9.1 or later. Additionally, consider implementing server-side authorization checks verifying that a student belongs to the teacher's course.
