HighCVSS 7.5
Published: Updated: Translated: NVD NIST

53th percentile - higher than 53% of all known CVEs

Summary

The webhook platform gateway in Nous Research Hermes Agent builds the session chat_id as webhook:{route_name}:{delivery_id} and re-derives the authorizing route by splitting that string. A route name containing a ":" resolves toolset authorization to a different, higher-privileged prefix route than the one authenticated.

Risk Assessment

A remote attacker with the target HMAC can gain access to a higher-privileged route's toolsets, potentially leading to unauthorized actions in the system.

Recommendation

Upgrade Nous Research Hermes Agent to a version that fixes route name validation; also restrict route names containing colons.
