CVE-2026-113597
MediumCVSS 5.4Summary
Blinko through 1.8.8 contains an insecure direct object reference vulnerability in the tag tRPC router that allows authenticated users to read and modify other users' tags by supplying arbitrary tag IDs. Attackers can enumerate sequential IDs via fullTagNameById, updateTagIcon, and updateTagOrder to reveal private note topics and tamper with tag icons and ordering.
Risk Assessment
Confidentiality and integrity breach — disclosure of private note topics can lead to information leakage, and tag manipulation can disorganize data and mislead users. This may harm privacy and trust in the system.
Recommendation
Update Blinko to version 1.8.8 or later (if available) or apply the vendor fix. In the meantime, consider restricting access to the tag tRPC router.
Other vulnerabilities in Blinko
See all- CVE-2026-110774Medium
Blinko through 1.8.8 contains a broken access control vulnerability in the /api/file route that allows authenticated users to read other users' private attachments due to a flawed owner check. Attackers can supply another user's stored filename, following a basename plus millisecond-timestamp pattern, to download private, non-shared attachments.
- CVE-2026-108980High
Blinko through 1.8.8 allows directory traversal, overwriting startup files as root, via installPlugin. It builds the plugin install path from an unsanitized name in server/routerTrpc/plugin.ts, and the plugin.installPlugin tRPC procedure is open to any authenticated user. Thus, a name containing ../ sequences writes the downloaded plugin files outside the plugins directory.
- CVE-2026-85624Medium
Blinko 1.8.7 contains a cross-user private note disclosure vulnerability in the noteReferenceList procedure that performs no ownership verification on supplied note identifiers. Authenticated attackers can enumerate sequential note IDs and retrieve complete content of other users' private notes including attachments and tags.
- CVE-2026-85607High
Blinko 1.8.7 contains an authorization bypass (IDOR) vulnerability in multiple tRPC procedures (message.list, message.update, message.delete, message.clearAfter in server/routerTrpc/message.ts and conversation.clearMessages in server/routerTrpc/conversation.ts). Although these procedures require authentication, they query the database by caller-supplied conversation or message ID without verifying that the resource belongs to the requesting account. Any authenticated user can therefore read another user's full AI chat history, modify individual message content, and delete or wipe entire conversations by enumerating sequential integer IDs.
