CVE-2026-112054
MediumCVSS 5.5Exploitation Probability (EPSS)
Low risk2th percentile - higher than 2% of all known CVEs
Summary
Schroedinger libschroedinger through 1.0.11 contains a divide by zero vulnerability that allows attackers to crash applications by supplying a zero slice_bytes_denom or slice count in a Dirac stream. A crafted low-delay picture parsed by schro_decoder_parse_transform_parameters and schro_decoder_parse_lowdelay_transform_data triggers a SIGFPE and causes denial of service.
Risk Assessment
Applications decoding Dirac video using libschroedinger can be crashed by a crafted stream, resulting in denial of service.
Recommendation
Update libschroedinger to a version newer than 1.0.11 once available. Until then, avoid processing untrusted Dirac streams.

Schroedinger libschroedinger through 1.0.11 contains a divide by zero vulnerability that allows attackers to crash applications by supplying a zero slice_bytes_denom or slice count in a Dirac stream. Attackers can provide a crafted low-delay picture parsed by schro_decoder_parse_transform_parameters and schro_decoder_parse_lowdelay_transform_data to trigger a SIGFPE and cause denial of service.
