CVE-2026-111661

MediumCVSS 5.3
Published: Updated: Translated: NVD NIST

Summary

waynboot-mall through 2.0.0 contains a missing authentication vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to send arbitrary email by calling the anonymously mapped /callback/email endpoint. Attackers can POST caller-supplied subject, content, and recipient to EmailController.sendEmail, sending messages from the operator's SMTP account for phishing, spam, and mail quota exhaustion.

Risk Assessment

An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to send phishing or spam messages from the organization's trusted SMTP account, potentially damaging the company's reputation and exhausting outgoing mail quotas.

Recommendation

Update waynboot-mall to a version later than 2.0.0 if available, or secure the /callback/email endpoint by requiring authentication and restricting the ability to send emails.
