Summary

Rocboss paopao-ce through 0.6.0-alpha.3 contains an insecure direct object reference vulnerability in DownloadAttachment that allows authenticated users to access private media by supplying arbitrary content IDs. Attackers can enumerate sequential post_content ids via the /v1/attachment endpoint to obtain signed download URLs for other users' private, friend-only and following-only images, videos and attachments.

Risk Assessment

An authenticated attacker can access other users' private media, leading to confidentiality and privacy breaches. The organization may face legal consequences and loss of user trust.

Recommendation

Update paopao-ce to a version newer than 0.6.0-alpha.3 if available, or implement ownership checks in DownloadAttachment. Restrict access to the /v1/attachment endpoint and monitor for unusual ID enumeration requests.
