Summary

The xSpeed Cache: AI-Powered Performance Hub with MCP, Caching & CDN plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'content' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 1.4.2 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.

Risk Assessment

An attacker could inject malicious scripts that execute in the user's browser, potentially leading to session theft, redirects, or other attacks. This could compromise the security of the site and its users.

Recommendation

Update the plugin to a version later than 1.4.2 that fixes this vulnerability. If update is not possible, consider disabling the plugin or restricting contributor privileges.
