CVE-2026-109386
MediumCVSS 4.3Exploitation Probability (EPSS)
Low risk29th percentile - higher than 29% of all known CVEs
Summary
The Hustle plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass in all versions up to, and including, 7.8.14.3. Due to improper verification of user authorization, authenticated attackers with custom-level access can overwrite the site's active ESP integration credentials (AWeber, Constant Contact, Infusionsoft, ConvertKit, or HubSpot API keys) with attacker-controlled values, diverting lead submissions to the attacker's ESP tenant, and for HubSpot, irreversibly delete OAuth tokens.
Risk Assessment
An attacker can intercept lead data from Hustle forms by redirecting it to their own system, and delete HubSpot OAuth tokens, potentially disrupting integration. However, this requires the hustle_create capability, which may be granted to some roles.
Recommendation
Update the Hustle plugin to a version later than 7.8.14.3. Review user permissions and restrict the hustle_create capability to essential personnel only.
Other vulnerabilities in Hustle
See all- CVE-2026-103075Medium
The Hustle plugin (versions up to and including 7.8.14.2) contains a Missing Authorization vulnerability that allows exploitation of incorrectly configured access control security levels. This issue affects Hustle from n/a through 7.8.14.2.
- CVE-2026-80440Medium
The Hustle WordPress plugin before version 7.8.14.2 does not prevent shortcodes in submitted form values from being executed when it substitutes those values into the message it returns after submission, because the guard it applies can be defeated by nesting, allowing unauthenticated users to run any shortcode registered on the site.
- CVE-2026-25431Medium
The WPMU DEV Hustle plugin (through 7.8.10.1) contains a missing authorization vulnerability that allows exploitation of incorrectly configured access control security levels.
- CVE-2026-2263Medium
The Hustle plugin for WordPress up to version 7.8.10.2 has an unauthorized data modification vulnerability due to a missing capability check in the 'hustle_module_converted' AJAX action. Unauthenticated attackers can forge conversion events for any Hustle module, including draft modules.
Original NVD description (English source)
The Hustle – Email Marketing, Lead Generation, Optins, Popups plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass in all versions up to, and including, 7.8.14.3. This is due to the plugin not properly verifying that a user is authorized to perform an action. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with custom-level access and above, to overwrite the site's active ESP integration credentials (AWeber, Constant Contact, Infusionsoft, ConvertKit, or HubSpot API keys) with attacker-controlled values — diverting all subsequent Hustle form lead submissions to the attacker's ESP tenant — and, for HubSpot, irreversibly delete the operator's OAuth token, OAuth referer, and OAuth current-page option rows. This requires the attacker to hold the plugin-granted hustle_create capability (e.g., an Editor delegated hustle_create but not hustle_edit_integrations via Hustle's Permissions tab), which allows them to load a Hustle module wizard page and obtain the hustle_provider_action nonce needed to reach the vulnerable handlers.
