LowCVSS 3.5
Published: Updated: Translated: NVD NIST

Exploitation Probability (EPSS)

Low risk
0.17%

7th percentile - higher than 7% of all known CVEs

Summary

The Appointment Booking Plugin WordPress plugin before 5.7.6 does not escape several booking-form step content settings before rendering them on the public booking form, allowing high-privilege users such as administrators to inject JavaScript that executes in the browser of any visitor who loads the form; on multisite, where administrators do not hold the unfiltered_html capability, this crosses a privilege boundary to unauthenticated visitors.

Risk Assessment

An attacker with administrator privileges can perform a Stored XSS attack against visitors, potentially leading to session theft, account takeover, or other damage. In multisite environments, the risk extends to unauthenticated users.

Recommendation

Update the Appointment Booking Plugin to version 5.7.6 or later. Review existing form settings for suspicious content.
