CVE-2026-104592
MediumCVSS 6.5Exploitation Probability (EPSS)
Low risk19th percentile - higher than 19% of all known CVEs
Summary
libosmocore through 1.14.1 contains an out-of-bounds read in the CBSP WRITE-REPLACE decoder in src/gsm/cbsp.c. This allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service.
Risk Assessment
A remote attacker could exploit the out-of-bounds read to cause a crash or instability of services using libosmocore. This may lead to unavailability of telecommunications services.
Recommendation
Update libosmocore to a version later than 1.14.1 that contains the fix. Until then, limit exposure of services using libosmocore to untrusted networks.
