Summary

The Ninja Forms plugin for WordPress (versions up to and including 3.15.5) is vulnerable to arbitrary shortcode execution. This is due to the software allowing users to execute an action that does not properly validate a value before running do_shortcode, enabling unauthenticated attackers to execute arbitrary shortcodes.

Risk Assessment

An attacker could exploit this to execute malicious code or disclose data via shortcodes, potentially leading to site takeover or privilege escalation.

Recommendation

Update the Ninja Forms plugin to a version later than 3.15.5 that contains the fix. If updating is not possible, consider disabling the plugin until a patch is applied.
