Summary

Bitrix24 through 25.100.300 allows Remote Code Execution because an actor with SOURCE/WRITE permissions for the Translate Module can upload and execute code by sending a PHP file and a .htaccess file. NOTE: this is disputed by the Supplier because this is intended behavior for the high-privileged users who can upload new translated pages to the website.

Risk Assessment

A user with Translate module permissions can upload malicious PHP code and achieve remote code execution on the server, potentially leading to full system compromise. The vendor considers this intended behavior, so a fix may not be released.

Recommendation

Restrict SOURCE/WRITE permissions for the Translate module to trusted administrators only and monitor uploaded PHP and .htaccess files. Consider implementing additional security controls at the web server level.
