Summary

A Blind Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in evershop 2.1.0 and prior allows unauthenticated attackers to force the server to initiate an HTTP request via the "GET /images" API. The vulnerability occurs due to insufficient validation of the "src" query parameter, which permits arbitrary HTTP or HTTPS URIs, resulting in unexpected requests against internal and external networks.

Risk Assessment

An attacker can use the server to scan and access internal network resources and to make requests to external services. This may lead to disclosure of infrastructure information or interaction with internal systems.

Recommendation

Update evershop to a patched version or implement validation of the "src" parameter restricting allowed schemes and addresses (whitelist). Additionally, restrict outbound traffic from the application server.
