CVE-2025-66440
HighCVSS 8.8Exploitation Probability (EPSS)
Low risk30th percentile - higher than 30% of all known CVEs
Summary
In Frappe ERPNext through 15.89.0, the function get_outstanding_reference_documents() in erpnext/accounts/doctype/payment_entry/payment_entry.py is vulnerable to SQL Injection. An attacker can extract arbitrary data from the database by injecting SQL payloads via the to_posting_date parameter, which is directly interpolated into the query without proper sanitization or parameter binding.
Risk Assessment
An attacker can access all data in the ERPNext database, including sensitive data, potentially leading to a breach of confidentiality and integrity.
Recommendation
Update ERPNext to the latest version where the vulnerability is fixed. Restrict access to payment functions to trusted users only.
