Summary

Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.23 and earlier are affected by a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability. A low privileged attacker can inject malicious scripts into vulnerable form fields, which execute in a victim's browser when they browse to the affected page.

Risk Assessment

An attacker can execute arbitrary JavaScript in the victim's browser context, potentially leading to session hijacking, credential theft, or content manipulation. All users visiting the infected pages are at risk.

Recommendation

Update Adobe Experience Manager to the latest version (above 6.5.23) and implement input sanitization for form fields. Consider deploying Content-Security-Policy headers to limit script execution.
