CVE-2025-38426

MediumCVSS 5.5
Published: Updated: Translated: NVD NIST

Summary

In the Linux kernel, the drm/amdgpu driver added basic validation for the RAS header. If the RAS header read from EEPROM is corrupted, it could result in trying to allocate huge memory for reading the records; validation of header fields was added.

Risk Assessment

May lead to memory exhaustion or kernel crash with a corrupted RAS header in EEPROM.

Recommendation

Update the Linux kernel to a version containing the amdgpu RAS header validation fix.
