CVE-2025-34235
HighCVSS 7.8Exploitation Probability (EPSS)
Low risk40th percentile - higher than 40% of all known CVEs
Summary
Vasion Print (formerly PrinterLogic) Virtual Appliance Host prior to version 25.1.102 and Application prior to version 25.1.1413 (Windows client deployments) contain a registry key that can be enabled by administrators, causing the client to skip SSL/TLS certificate validation. An attacker who can intercept HTTPS traffic can then inject malicious driver DLLs, resulting in remote code execution with SYSTEM privileges; a local attacker can achieve local privilege escalation via a junction-point DLL injection. This vulnerability has been confirmed to be remediated, but it is unclear when the patch was introduced.
Risk Assessment
An attacker could execute arbitrary code with SYSTEM privileges or escalate privileges locally, leading to full system compromise. The risk applies to deployments with the registry key that skips certificate validation enabled.
Recommendation
Update Vasion Print Virtual Appliance Host to version 25.1.102 or later and Application to version 25.1.1413 or later. Verify that the registry key skipping SSL/TLS validation is not enabled.
Other vulnerabilities in Vasion Print
See all- CVE-2025-34222Critical
Vasion Print Virtual Appliance Host prior to 22.0.1049 and Application prior to 20.0.2786 expose four admin routes without authentication, allowing an unauthenticated attacker to upload, delete, or download TLS/SSL certificates and enumerate client IDs via an IDOR.
- CVE-2025-34196Critical
Vasion Print Virtual Appliance Host prior to 25.1.102 and Application prior to 25.1.1413 (Windows client deployments) contain a hardcoded private key for the PrinterLogic CA and a hardcoded password in configuration files such as clientsettings.dat and defaults.ini. An attacker obtaining these files can impersonate the CA and perform man-in-the-middle attacks.
- CVE-2025-34206Critical
Vasion Print mounts host configuration and secret material under /var/www/efs_storage into many Docker containers with overly-permissive permissions, exposing files like secrets.env, GPG-encrypted blobs, MySQL client keys, and session files. An attacker with access to any container can read or modify these artifacts.
- CVE-2025-58590Medium
It is possible to brute force folders and files, which an attacker can use to steal sensitive information.
- CVE-2025-34230Medium
Vasion Print (formerly PrinterLogic) Virtual Appliance Host prior to 25.1.102 and Application prior to 25.1.1413 contain a blind SSRF vulnerability in the console_release/hp/log_off_single_sign_on.php script exploitable by an unauthenticated user. The application builds a URL from the printer host name and sends a curl request without validation, whitelist, or private-network filtering.
- CVE-2025-34229Medium
Vasion Print (formerly PrinterLogic) Virtual Appliance Host prior to 25.1.102 and Application prior to 25.1.1413 contain a blind SSRF vulnerability in the console_release/hp/installApp.php script exploitable by an unauthenticated user. The application builds a URL from the printer host name and sends a curl request without validation, whitelist, or private-network filtering.
- CVE-2025-34189High
Vasion Print (formerly PrinterLogic) Virtual Appliance Host versions prior to 1.0.735 and Application versions prior to 20.0.1330 (macOS/Linux client deployments) contain a vulnerability in the local inter-process communication (IPC) mechanism. The software stores IPC request and response files inside /opt/PrinterInstallerClient/tmp with world-readable and world-writable permissions. Any local user can craft malicious request files that are processed by privileged daemons, leading to unauthorized actions being executed in other user sessions. This breaks user session isolation, potentially allowing local attackers to hijack sessions, perform unintended actions in the context of other users, and impact system integrity and availability. This vulnerability has been identified by the vendor as: V-2022-004 — Client Inter-process Security.
