Summary

The WP Directory Kit plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to SQL Injection via the 'search' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 1.4.6 due to insufficient escaping on the user-supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers with Administrator-level access and above to append additional SQL queries to extract sensitive information from the database.

Risk Assessment

An attacker with administrator privileges can exploit the vulnerability to extract sensitive data from the database, potentially leading to confidentiality breaches. However, this requires high privileges.

Recommendation

Update the WP Directory Kit plugin to the latest version containing the fix. Consider restricting administrator privileges and regularly reviewing logs.
