Summary

The WP jQuery Pager plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to SQL Injection via the 'ids' shortcode attribute parameter handled by the WPJqueryPaged::get_gallery_page_imgs() function in all versions up to and including 1.4.0. This is due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This allows authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access and above to append additional SQL queries into existing ones, potentially extracting sensitive information from the database.

Risk Assessment

The risk involves potential leakage of sensitive data from the WordPress database, such as user data, passwords, or other confidential information. Attackers may also modify or delete data, leading to integrity compromise.

Recommendation

Immediately update the plugin to the latest available version that includes a fix. If an update is not possible, temporarily disable the plugin or restrict access to it.
