Weekly CVE digest

One email a week with newly published vulnerabilities worth knowing about. No account needed.

This digest covers new vulnerabilities in general, not your servers. If you want to know which of them actually run in your infrastructure, that is what Secvalis does: it scans your machines and reports only what concerns them.

I agree to receive the weekly CVE digest at the address above. I can withdraw this consent at any time using the link in the footer of every message.

CVE-2026-15469
High

The use of hard-coded cryptographic key vulnerability has been identified in the mesh functionality of Deco XE75 v3, XE5300 v3.6 and WE10800 v3.6. A shared RSA-512 mesh group private key is present in the affected firmware and is used by the mesh protocol for node authentication. An attacker who obtains the firmware image and has local network access may be able to authenticate as a mesh node without possessing a device-specific credential. Successful exploitation may allow an unauthenticated adjacent attacker to impersonate a trusted mesh node and bypass mesh node authentication, which may permit unauthorized changes to device or mesh configuration, affecting confidentiality, integrity and availability.

CVE-2025-36940
High

Use-After-Free vulnerability in a zircon kernel pager proxy (Fuchsia), which could lead to a Privilege Escalation from Userspace to Kernel (AP).

CVE-2026-78416
HighEPSS 62%

Craft CMS versions from 4.0.0-RC1 before 4.18.2 and from 5.0.0-RC1 before 5.10.6 contain an authenticated remote code execution vulnerability in control panel element-search condition handling. A JSON cleanse bypass in condition.config allows Yii behavior/event configuration keys to be interpreted after decoding, enabling command execution as the PHP/web user.

CVE-2026-71366
High

A server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability was found in multiple AWX notification backends. The webhook, Mattermost, Rocket.Chat, and Grafana notification backends use notification template URLs as direct HTTP request targets without validating the target address against private, loopback, or reserved IP ranges. An organization notification administrator can create notification templates pointing to internal or loopback addresses, causing the AWX control node to issue HTTP requests to services that are not externally accessible. Additionally, the webhook notification backend follows HTTP redirects and resends configured Basic Authentication credentials to redirect targets regardless of host change, allowing an attacker to exfiltrate notification credentials by redirecting to an attacker-controlled host. The Grafana backend sends its API key in the Authorization header to the configured target URL.

CVE-2026-71364
HighEPSS 78%

A path traversal vulnerability was found in AWX's project archive extraction. The project_archive action plugin extracts zip and tar archive members by joining the project directory path with the member filename without performing path normalization, boundary validation, or rejecting directory traversal sequences. A malicious archive containing members with path traversal components can write files to arbitrary locations on the execution node's filesystem outside the intended project directory. An attacker who controls the archive content, either through a compromised upstream source, a malicious archive URL, or a man-in-the-middle attack on a plain HTTP connection, can achieve arbitrary file writes as the user performing the extraction, potentially leading to remote code execution through mechanisms such as cron files, SSH authorized keys, or playbook content injection.

CVE-2026-21752
High

HCL Hive is affected by a use of vulnerable third-party components which could allow an attacker unauthorized access or compromise of the system by exploiting publicly documented security flaws.

CVE-2026-13212
High

The Zephyr virtio driver does not validate the descriptor-chain head id written by the virtio device into the used ring. A malicious virtio backend can supply an out-of-range id, causing an out-of-bounds read and invocation of an attacker-controlled function pointer in the guest's interrupt context. This enables control-flow hijacking or a reliable crash.

CVE-2026-12556
High

Potential security vulnerabilities have been identified in HP Easy Start for macOS versions prior to 2.16.7.260722, which may lead to escalation of privilege. HP is releasing updates to mitigate these issues.

CVE-2026-12555
High

Potential security vulnerabilities have been identified in HP Easy Start for macOS versions prior to 2.16.7.260722, which may lead to escalation of privilege. HP is releasing updates to mitigate these issues.

CVE-2026-12554
High

Potential security vulnerabilities have been identified in HP Easy Start for macOS versions prior to 2.16.7.260722, which may lead to escalation of privilege. HP is releasing updates to mitigate these issues.

CVE-2025-68825
High

HCL Hive is affected by incorrect default permissions which could allow an attacker unauthorized lateral movement, container breakout, and interception of sensitive internal communications.

CVE-2026-78414
High

Cross-site scripting in the Web Administration interface of Network Optix Nx Witness VMS before version 6.1.3 on Linux, Windows and MacOS allows an adjacent-network attacker to execute arbitrary JavaScript in the browser of an authenticated administrator and steal the administrator's session token, resulting in Administrator Account Takeover. An attacker who controls an Nx server on the same network segment can set that server's site name to a script payload, which executes when an administrator opens the "Merge with Another Site" dialog.

CVE-2026-78391
High

RansomLook contains a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the cryptocurrency wallet detail view. Cryptocurrency addresses and blockchain names from external sources, including the public crowd-sourced ransomwhe.re feed, were stored without sufficient validation and embedded directly into an inline JavaScript onclick handler. Although Jinja HTML autoescaping was applied, it does not protect against untrusted data in a JavaScript string inside an HTML attribute, allowing crafted addresses to execute arbitrary JavaScript.

CVE-2026-76055
High

Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in an OS Command in the package manager component of Black Duck blackduck-c-cpp before 3.0.7 allows an actor able to create a file within the scanned build directory to execute operating system commands as the account running the scan. Filesystem paths encountered while traversing the scanned directory are interpolated into command strings that are executed through a shell without quoting or escaping, so shell metacharacters within those paths are interpreted.

CVE-2026-76054
High

Invocation of Process Using Visible Sensitive Information in Black Duck blackduck-c-cpp 1.0.17 through 3.0.6 allows an actor able to execute code within the scanned project's build to obtain the Black Duck API token via the ambient process environment, which is inherited by subprocesses launched during build capture and signature scanning. This applies only where the token is supplied through the BLACKDUCK_API_TOKEN or BD_HUB_TOKEN environment variable.

CVE-2026-39915
High

TIM Flow before 26.0.6 contains a CRLF injection vulnerability that allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary HTTP headers and response body content by embedding unsanitized carriage return and line feed sequences in the rt URL parameter, which is reflected into Set-Cookie response headers. Attackers can craft malicious requests to induce authenticated users to execute arbitrary JavaScript in their browser context, enabling session token theft and account credential modification.

CVE-2026-78386
HighEPSS 56%

RansomLook exposes sensitive operator-side scraping configuration through multiple unauthenticated API responses. Location records associated with ransomware groups and markets are returned largely verbatim to unauthenticated callers whenever the location itself is not marked as private. These records may contain internal fields such as authentication headers, session cookies, init scripts, and browser details.

CVE-2026-78385
High

RansomLook contains insufficient resource validation in the analysis PDF generation functionality. Analysis documents are converted from Markdown to HTML and passed to WeasyPrint for PDF rendering. Prior to the fix, WeasyPrint used its default URL fetcher, allowing resource references contained in an analysis to be resolved without restrictions.

CVE-2026-78381
High

RansomLook contains a path traversal vulnerability in the handling of the screen field associated with group posts. The GroupPost.get API handler concatenates the database-controlled screen value directly with the application's source/ directory and opens the resulting path without verifying that the resolved file remains within the intended directory. A malicious upstream instance can provide traversal sequences such as ../config/generic.json, leading to arbitrary file read.

CVE-2026-78380
High

The vulnerability in RansomLook is due to the failure to enforce the privacy status of ransomware groups and markets when distributing newly collected victim posts to external notification channels. The post-processing logic only checks whether an individual post is marked private, but does not verify whether the group or market to which the post belongs is configured as private. As a result, victim information from private groups or markets may be automatically published through enabled Rocket.Chat, Mastodon, Bluesky, and email notification channels, as well as added to the public MISP feed.
