Weekly CVE digest
One email a week with newly published vulnerabilities worth knowing about. No account needed.
This digest covers new vulnerabilities in general, not your servers. If you want to know which of them actually run in your infrastructure, that is what Secvalis does: it scans your machines and reports only what concerns them.
Concrete CMS before 9.5.3 improperly neutralized a user-supplied custom date format when rendering conversation messages, resulting in reflected cross-site scripting. An attacker could execute arbitrary JavaScript in the browser of a user who was tricked into submitting a crafted POST request to the conversation view endpoint. Exploitation was aided by the absence of a CSRF token on the endpoint.
Vulnerability in the local web service of Newell Brands DYMO Connect Desktop. The LoadImageAsPngBase64 endpoint accepts a file path parameter without adequate validation, allowing a crafted path to read arbitrary image files from the host filesystem outside the intended scope. Fixed in 1.6.2; the fix limits access by file extension only, not by directory – arbitrary-location reads of files with an allowed image extension remain possible by design.
A vulnerability in HPE Networking EdgeConnect SD-WAN Gateways could allow an unauthenticated adjacent attacker to view some system memory contents. Successful exploitation could allow an attacker to gain insight into internal services and workflows, increasing the risk of unauthorized access and elevated privileges when combined with other vulnerabilities.
A vulnerability in the API endpoint of HPE Networking EdgeConnect SD-WAN Orchestrator could allow an unauthenticated remote attacker to obtain sensitive information. Successful exploitation could result in the disclosure of security-relevant configuration details and security feature status, which could be used to facilitate further attacks.
A buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the API endpoint of HPE Networking EdgeConnect SD-WAN Gateways. Successful exploitation could allow an authenticated remote attacker with Admin privilege to execute arbitrary commands on the underlying operating system.
A vulnerability in the web-based management interface of the EdgeConnect SD-WAN Orchestrator could allow an authenticated remote attacker to execute arbitrary script code in a victim's browser in the context of the affected interface. Successful exploitation could allow an attacker to access sensitive information, potentially affecting the confidentiality and integrity of the data processed by the application.
A buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the web-based management interface of HPE Networking EdgeConnect SD-WAN Gateways. An authenticated attacker with administrative access can cause a denial of service, potentially disrupting system operations and leading to an unstable state.
A vulnerability in the operating system of HPE Networking EdgeConnect SD-WAN Gateways could allow an authenticated local attacker to cause a denial-of-service, potentially disrupting system operations and leading to an unstable state.
A vulnerability in the API endpoint of HPE Networking EdgeConnect SD-WAN Gateways could allow an unauthenticated remote attacker to access sensitive information, which could be used to gain further access to network services.
Vulnerabilities in HPE Networking EdgeConnect SD-WAN Gateways could allow an unauthenticated remote attacker to cause a denial-of-service, potentially interrupting the normal operation of the affected service.
A buffer overflow vulnerability exists in a system service within the underlying operating system of HPE Networking EdgeConnect SD-WAN Gateways. An unauthenticated adjacent attacker could cause a denial-of-service, potentially crashing the impacted service and temporarily disrupting network operations.
A command injection vulnerability exists in the web-based management interface of HPE Networking EdgeConnect SD-WAN Gateways. An authenticated remote attacker with limited privileges could exploit this through specially crafted input, potentially resulting in arbitrary command execution with elevated privileges or a denial-of-service condition.
A vulnerability in the web-based management interface of HPE Networking EdgeConnect SD-WAN Gateways could allow a remote attacker authenticated with low privileges to access sensitive information, which could be used to gain further access to network services.
A vulnerability in HPE Networking EdgeConnect SD-WAN Gateways could allow an unauthenticated adjacent attacker to conduct a denial of service attack, potentially crashing the system, preventing it from rebooting without manual intervention, and disrupting network operations.
Buffer overflow vulnerabilities exist in the underlying operating system of HPE Networking EdgeConnect SD-WAN Gateways. An unauthenticated remote attacker could send specially crafted packets to the affected service, potentially affecting its integrity and availability.
A privilege escalation vulnerability exists in the command line interface of HPE Networking EdgeConnect SD-WAN Gateways. An authenticated remote attacker with high privileges could escalate privileges beyond their authorized level and execute arbitrary code on a vulnerable system.
Vulnerability in Oracle Siebel CRM Deployment (component: Cloud Gateway) affecting versions 17.0-26.7. A low privileged attacker with network access via HTTP can exploit it, resulting in unauthorized creation, deletion or modification of data as well as unauthorized access to critical data.
Vulnerability in Oracle Web Applications Desktop Integrator (component: File download) affecting versions 12.2.3-12.2.15. A low privileged attacker with network access via HTTP can easily exploit it, resulting in unauthorized access to critical data or complete access to all accessible data.
Http4s is a Scala interface for HTTP services. Prior to 0.23.35 and 1.0.0-M47, the CookieJar client middleware uses unanchored substring checks instead of RFC 6265 domain and path matching. Consequently, a cookie for example.com can be sent to an attacker-controlled hostname such as evilexample.com.
Http4s is a Scala interface for HTTP services. Prior to 0.23.35 and 1.0.0-M47, DigestAuth replay protection records lastNc plus one instead of the highest nonce-count value it has accepted. When a legitimate client sends noncontiguous nc values due to parallel or retried requests, the stored counter remains below the accepted maximum, allowing a passive observer to replay a captured Authorization header multiple times.
