Weekly CVE digest
One email a week with newly published vulnerabilities worth knowing about. No account needed.
This digest covers new vulnerabilities in general, not your servers. If you want to know which of them actually run in your infrastructure, that is what Secvalis does: it scans your machines and reports only what concerns them.
HomeBox is a home inventory and organization system. Prior to 0.26.0, POST /v1/groups/members invokes HandleGroupMemberAdd and GroupService.AddMember using a caller-supplied userID without requiring an owner role, an invitation token, target-user consent, or target-user notification. Any authenticated user can force another account into the caller's group, disclose the target user's email address and name through the resulting member list, and create the membership prerequisite used by a separate cross-group inventory-wipe vulnerability. This issue is fixed in version 0.26.0.
Tinyauth prior to 5.1.0 exposes a remotely observable timing difference between authentication attempts for existing and nonexistent local usernames. The loginHandler and basicAuth functions return quickly after a missing user is reported, while an existing user causes bcrypt password verification work.
Tinyauth prior to 5.1.0 allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to send POST /api/user/login requests with 257 distinct nonexistent usernames to fill MaxLoginAttemptRecords and activate a global login lockdown. IsAccountLocked checks that global state before validating unrelated accounts, causing valid users to receive HTTP 429 for approximately 300 seconds.
draw.io prior to version 30.2.7 skips comparison of stateToken and cookieToken in the OAuth callback handler whenever IS_GAE is false, affecting self-hosted Docker and WAR deployments. An attacker can provide an authorization code for the attacker's cloud-storage identity and induce a victim to visit a callback URL, causing the victim's session to become authenticated as the attacker identity.
draw.io prior to version 30.2.7 in deployments with ENABLE_DRAWIO_PROXY=1 is vulnerable to server-side request forgery because the private-address check in Utils.sanitizeUrl() uses one DNS resolution, while ProxyServlet.java later calls URL.openConnection() and performs a second resolution. An attacker-controlled hostname can resolve to a public address during validation and then to a private, link-local, or cloud metadata address when the connection is opened.
Fabio versions 1.6.6 through 1.7.2 fail to protect operator-configured forwarding headers (ClientIPHeader, TLSHeader, RequestID) from removal by an unauthenticated client. The CVE-2025-48865 fix only covers a hardcoded set of headers, allowing attackers to manipulate these critical headers before they reach the backend.
Dasel versions 3.0.0 through 3.11.2 have a bug in the tokenizer that reads out of bounds when a selector ends with whitespace, causing a panic and process termination. Input passed through Tokenize() or dasel.Query is also affected.
KubeEdge from version 1.0.0 to 1.21.2, 1.22.2, and 1.23.1 is vulnerable to memory exhaustion. The message reader in pkg/viaduct/pkg/packer trusts the 32-bit PayloadLen field from CloudHub and allocates memory before validating an upper bound. An authenticated malicious or compromised edge peer can send crafted headers causing memory exhaustion, CloudHub process termination or restart loops, and temporary disruption of cloud-edge communication.
Dasel versions 3.0.0 through 3.11.1 lack a depth limit when parsing nested JSON or XML. Deeply nested attacker-controlled input can exhaust the Go goroutine stack and cause an unrecoverable fatal error that terminates the entire process.
draw.io prior to version 30.2.5 allows execution of attacker-controlled JavaScript in the draw.io origin when a crafted .drawio file is opened or imported. The vulnerability lacks HTML encoding in certain labels, bypassing the previous CVE-2026-46642 fix. An attacker can compromise diagram data, non-HttpOnly cookies, and perform same-origin actions on the victim's behalf.
The Intel SEDI IPM driver (drivers/ipm/ipm_sedi.c) fails to validate the message length from the doorbell register before copying data into incoming_data_buf. The length field (10 bits) allows up to 1023 bytes while the buffer is only 128 bytes, and the bounds check in HAL is compiled only with CONFIG_DEBUG. This leads to an out-of-bounds write in interrupt context, potentially corrupting kernel structures and causing a crash.
The experimental USB host stack in Zephyr contains a double-free vulnerability in the configuration descriptor buffer. On three error paths, the buffer is freed but the pointer is left dangling, leading to a second free during cleanup. The vulnerability can be triggered by a malicious or malformed USB device.
Hatchet prior to version 0.106.1 lacks a tenant filter in the WorkerStatus gRPC polling path in pkg/repository/durable_events.go. An authenticated tenant worker, knowing another tenant's durable-task UUID, can retrieve matching durable event-log records, leading to cross-tenant data leakage.
File owners were unable to unlock TYPE_TOKEN locks placed by other users, leaving files permanently locked with no recovery path outside of the database. This vulnerability can be exploited to permanently deny access to files.
Hatchet prior to version 0.91.1 lacks a tenant check in the API endpoint GET /api/v1/stable/durable-tasks/{durable-task} defined in api-contracts/openapi/paths/v1/workflow-runs/workflow_run.yaml. An authenticated user who obtains another tenant's durable task UUID can read that task's event log, including task display names, workflow identifiers, user messages, wait conditions, and branching logic.
Hatchet before version 0.91.1 has an SSRF vulnerability in the SNS UnsubscribeConfirmation handler. An authenticated tenant can replace the UnsubscribeURL field in a valid AWS-signed message with an internal URL, allowing server-side requests to EC2 Instance Metadata Service, internal services, and internal HTTP APIs. This may expose IAM credentials or network-accessible data and functionality.
CuteNews v2.1.2 is vulnerable to XSS in the __referer value. An attacker can execute arbitrary JavaScript in the context of an authenticated user's session via a javascript: URI rendered as an unsanitized clickable link on the msg_info page.
Deserialization of Untrusted Data of the __post_data parameter in cn_parse_url() in CuteNews v.2.1.2 allows a remote attacker to inject arbitrary values into internal request variables (including __referer) via a crafted base64-encoded serialized PHP payload submitted as a POST parameter.
CuteNews v.2.1.2 is vulnerable to Cross Site Scripting (XSS) in index.php. The value of the "Referer" header is copied into the response HTML unmodified/unescaped during POST messages to index.php.
CuteNews v2.1.2 has a stored XSS vulnerability in index.php, where an unauthenticated attacker can supply an arbitrarily named URL parameter key containing an URL-encoded XSS payload, leading to script execution in the victim's browser.
